COVID-19 is a respiratory infection caused by the novel virus SARS-CoV-2. As of August 31, 2023, it has been downgraded to a Level 4 infectious disease; however, the risk level remains at "Caution.”

  • Reporting of COVID-19 positive cases: Transition to a monitoring system (only designated monitoring agencies to report positive cases)
    • Designated monitoring agencies within the district (3 locations): Gurosungsim General Hospital, Woori Chilren’s Hospital , Hana ENT Hospital
  • Masks, Beds, Treatments, Vaccinations: Current policies remain in place
    • Treatment cost: Support for all hospitalized patients → Partial support for severe cases
  • Living support allowance • Paid leave allowance: Support ended
  • Testing fee: Transitioned to paid testing in medical institutions
    • Note: National health insurance benefits available for oral antiviral prescriptions, ER and ICU patients
  • Screening clinic: To be maintained for the foreseeable future
    • Proactive Testing for High-Risk Groups and Infection Control in Vulnerable Facilities and Medical Institutions
