A treatment method that uses physical elements (heat, electricity, rays, equipment, etc.) instead of surgeries or chemotherapy (or drug therapy) to help reduce the patients’ pain and to furthermore restore necessary functions to allow their return to normal activities

  • Subjects of treatment

    Those prescribed with physical therapy by a doctor of internal medicine
    (Patients with acute or chronic muscular skeletal diseases, patients with backache, frozen shoulders and/or degenerative arthritis, etc.)

  • Treatment devices

    Hot packs, paraffin treatment machine, interference wave treatment machine, transcutaneous nerve stimulation treatment machine, shoulder rotating machine, etc.

  • Treatment cost

    • No charge - 65 years of age or older (residing in Seoul as shown on resident registration), recipients of basic living support, persons of national merit
    • Charged - KRW 1,600 for the initial examination, KRW 500 for repeated prescriptions of physical therapy
  • Opening hours

    09:00-18:00 on weekdays (lunch break 12:00-13:00)

  • Process of use

    Reservation system in operation (phone reservation available)

    Reception at examination office on 1st floor → Doctor’s treatment and prescription for physical therapy → Receipt of payment at Civil Affairs Office on 1st floor (paying patients) → Reception at Physical Therapy Office on 4th floor
