Purpose

Thus program aims to enhance parental caregiving capabilities and promote infant health by providing home visits from pediatric nurses, who have completed specialized training, to offer prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding support, and parenting advice to local pregnant women and infants.

Program Overview

Eligibility

  • Pregnant women within the jurisdiction who are 20 weeks or further along in their pregnancy to mothers within 8 weeks postpartum.

Services

  • Universal visit service (one visit within 4 weeks postpartum) Health assessments for mothers and infants, postpartum depression and psychosocial evaluations, etc.
    Education and counseling on breastfeeding and parenting, information on childcare
  • Ongoing visit service (up to 25-29 visits until the child turns 2 years old) Tailored health management services based on the developmental stages of infants and young children, including connections to specialized institutions and local welfare resources
  • Operation of support groups and parent gatherings, such as family support and self-help meetings, to foster group activities among parents
    Sharing experiences related to childbirth and parenting, and providing opportunities for exchanging parenting information.
