The deadline for reporting

• Registered foreigner : within 15 days from the date of relocating the place of residence
• Foreign nationals : within 14 days from the date of relocating the place of residence

※ If the reporting period has elapsed, the change must be reported at the Seoul Southern Regional Immigration Office1345

How to report

• 1) Visiting the house contracted to report the change, Original document proving the place of residence.
  Original alien registration card or domestic residence report card.
  ※ Certificate of residence: lease contract, certified copy of resident registration, confirmation of occupancy in dormitory, etc.
• 2) Visiting the house contracted by another person to report the change
  Copy of the contractor's identification card and original document proving the place of residence.
  Accommodation provision confirmation with contractor's English signature
  Original alien registration card or domestic residence report card.

  ※ When an agent other than the principal reports a visit, a person in a family relationship or an employment relationship can report on behalf of him/her.

  • When reporting a family relationship by proxy: Notarized relatives, household accounts, etc. need to be checked.
  • When reporting employment relationship by proxy: agent's ID card, employment certificate, employment relationship confirmation document, etc.
