Jeongseon Princess, the seventh daughter of King Seonjo, the 14th monarch of the Joseon Dynasty, lived in what is now 67, Gung-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul The name "Gungdong" is derived from the palace-like tiled houses they resided in.
Located in 1-66 and 22, Gung-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, the tomb area of Jeongseon Princess includes the graves of her husband Kwon Dae-im and other members of the Andong Kwon Clan. These tombs stand as significant examples of the burial methods used in the Joseon Dynasty, and the tombstones and epitaphs within the burial grounds are highly valued as crucial resources for studying the funerary rites of that period.
Gungdong Ecological Park boasts beautiful scenery and ecological diversity, with walking trails, traditional Korean gazebos, exercise equipment, and over 25,000 plants and 100 koi fish inhabiting the reservoir.
