Translation/Interpretation Service

Provides translation/interpretation service to support multi cultural families who experience difficulties with languages to help them adjust to their lives in a new society

    • Interpretation service to help communication between family members
    • Translation/interpretation service to help deal with administrative or legal matters
    • Translation/interpretation service to facilitate the use of medical centers, police stations, and schools
    • Support in the case of emergencies

Visiting education service (Parents education / Korean language education)

For married immigrants and family members, a visiting education service is provided to help with the learning of the Korean language.

  • Service operation period: First period (February to June 2011), Second period (August to December 2011)
  • Application period: Anytime before the service starts
    ※ In case of admission ended, it adopts a standby system for second priority of the business
  • Application method: Visit in person
  • Require documents: Certificate of alien registration, social security card, and certification of family relations
  • Frequency of the service: Two times a week, two hours per meeting
  • Service fee: Free
  • Others: It is not possible to receive both the service for parental education and Korean language education service

Service to help improve the language skills of children from multi cultural families

Evaluate the language skill status of children from multi cultural families who experience language difficulties and provide a systemized and professional education service to improve language skills

  • Service period: Throughout the year
  • Target: Children from multi cultural families in need of evaluation and language education (under the age of 12)
  • Major contents: Evaluation of language / Language education to improve vocabulary, reading, and speaking (1:1 education) / Parents consultation and education
  • Frequency: Two times a week, 40 minutes per meeting (a recipient can use the service for 6 months)

  • Application method: Telephone or visiting

Language support center for gifted children

Provide a language service in the mother tongue for children from multi cultural families so that they can be multi lingual and cultivate a multi cultural sensibility

  • Service period: March to December
  • Target: Children from multi cultural families (From age of 3~elementary students), children from non-multi cultural families, and multi cultural families (Spouses and parents in law)
  • Education frequency: Two times a week, 2 hours per meeting
  • Language supported: Chinese
  • Service fee: Free
  • Application method: Telephone or visiting
